I have all but switched entirely to 7.5% Hydroxyapatite Toothpaste instead of fluoride-based toothpaste. Hydroxyapatite has been shown to strengthen and remineralize tooth enamel. In doing my research, I discovered that a concentration of 10% is most effective for remineralization effects, but 7.5% isn't too off the mark. I have, in fact, noticed that my teeth aren't as sensitive since switching to hydroxyapatite toothpaste, another wonderful benefit! While the flavor is minty, it doesn't leave my breath smelling and feeling as fresh as other toothpastes; I wake with a severe case of morning breath, even if my teeth are being remineralized overnight. It does foam up well while brushing though, so I feel like it's getting into all the cracks and crevices of my teeth. The price for two regular size tubes, at just under $16, is fairly hefty though. Since I suffered with sensitive teeth in the past, it's a price I'm personally willing to pay, but your mileage might vary.
