Review:
OK, so I've been looking for something like this for a while. I ordered one with a little key in it, but it was too narrow for my king-sized tube of toothpaste (it's cheaper to buy the big tubes, and I'm a tightwad who intends to live at LEAST until a tube of toothpaste is finished!), So I ordered me a batch of these puppies.Well...they work like a CHARM!! True, the instructions are all in an oriental pictogram alphabet, but there are also pictures, and they're pretty easy to follow.I will admit that I read a lot of the negative reviews before I bought these, and then decided I could splurge for six bucks. I just went back and re-read a bunch of those reviews, and I started to laugh so hard I almost soiled myself. It seems to me that a number of those nice people have a hard time even reading picture books. The pictures make it VERY clear: there is a VERY NARROW slot right in the middle of a crosspiece in this complicated instrument. On either side of that crosspiece is a wider slot, so that the center, narrow slot can expand as needed. Now, the narrow center slot is skinny enough even to squeeze the good stuff out of a little Blistex tube.So I'll bet ya dollars to donuts that the complainers didn't look at the pictures on the package, stuffed the end of a toothpaste tube into the big, fat, WIDE slots, and found out it didn't work very well. DUH!! If you try to carve a turkey with a paring knife, you'd likely run into problems too!I can GUARAN-DANG-TEE that these squeezers will fit and work on any toothpaste- or smaller-sized—tube of ANYTHING I've had in a tube in my house for the last 60 years. They're too small for a tube of, say, caulk, but for anything that will fit? BOOM!Now, measure the tube you want to squeeze. The squeezing slot is a little over three inches wide, Any tube wider than about three and a quarter inches would be a no-go. But your normal toothpaste tube? DY-NO-MITE!And then go back and enjoy reading the negative reviews as much as I just did!
