Review:

I did not expect to like this. First of all, $12 for a tube of toothpaste seems a bit ridiculous. When I first received it and realized it had Xylitol I thought it was going to taste like a chemical. I removed the seal, which was on tightly and gave a squeeze from the bottom of the tube )because I hate it when people squeeze in the middle of the tube) and a whole lot of air sputtered out of the tube. That was NOT a good sign. I got the toothpaste onto my brush and while it is not at all runny, it is definitely looser than the toothpaste I have been used to using. that didn't bode well either. I almost didn't use it because I was sure I wasn't going to like it, but it was already on the brush and I was running late so I went with it. There is a mint taste, and you can taste the xylitol and to me, it tastes like someone used a drop of two of peppermint oil in baking soda with artificial sweetener. I don't care for the taste but not enough to stop using it.Why such a high rating? All the things I didn't like were personal preferences, not a failure of the product. What makes me continue to use this is that my teeth feel clean. Not just after using it, but several hours and even a meal later, my teeth still feel clean. Also, I was previously trying a $35 brand name/celebrity endorsed dental system that was supposed to whiten my teeth and this toothpaste actually did more to brighten my teeth (not whiten, but brighten) than the expensive product did. results trump personal preference and I will continue using this toothpaste.
