I grew up in Germany, and Ajona toothpaste was a staple until I moved to the States 20 years ago. Getting used to the toothpaste here was hard. I don't really like artificial peppermint flavor (and the chill feeling it leaves in your mouth). Wintergreen is even worse - makes me gag just to think about it.So I was thrilled when I found I can get my old favorite Ajona on Amazon now. I like the hint of licorice it has instead of that ubiquitous peppermint, and it is really wonderful to my gums as well, which are less prone to irritation or bleeding. It also helps with tooth sensitivity to heat or cold.Another nice feature of the product is that a little goes a very long way. A lentil-size amount will give you plenty of foam and a good clean feeling. My last tube was good for me for an entire year, and I brush mornings and evenings (and use a waterpik flosser).
